The SAMBAIA Social Cooperative was established in August 2013, with its registered office in Casteldaccia. Its main purpose is the management of facilities such as: shelters with confidential addresses for women victims of violence, anti-violence centers (CAV), residential communities, family homes, first reception centers for minors, at-risk minors, disabled individuals, elderly people, foreign nationals, detainees, refugees, single mothers, and family units.
The Sambaia Social Cooperative has been committed to combating gender-based and domestic violence since 2019. It operates an Anti-Violence Center and a shelter with a confidential address for women victims of violence with and without minor children, with the aim of supporting and helping women who are victims of violence, whether physical, sexual, psychological, economic, or any other form of limitation and violation of personal freedom.
Additionally, the Cooperative provides assistance to minors through educational, recreational, and care activities.
The SAMBAIA Social Cooperative collaborates with other cooperatives on projects related to agriculture and social services.
Women Victims of Violence
A support and accompaniment project for women victims of violence, offering them a safe refuge, psychological support, and pathways to social and employment reintegration. The goal is to help women rebuild their lives.
