What we do
Residential communities and family homes
Among the main services, Cooperativa Sambaia manages residential communities and family homes, offering a welcoming and safe environment for minors. First reception centers are designed to provide immediate and appropriate support to the needs of minors who have just entered the protection system. In addition, psychological support is provided to help young people overcome trauma and emotional difficulties, ensuring constant guidance throughout their growth journey.
Educational and recreational activities
Another fundamental pillar of the services offered by Cooperativa Sambaia. Our staff members have specific skills aimed at organizing the activities of children and adults. We favor outdoor activities to improve the quality of life of our users and the psychophysical development of children. The planned activities are created in line with the educational approach used in the facility, following a behavioral model designed for mothers and children.
Psycho-pedagogical assistance
Minors are offered concrete and daily opportunities to share their feelings, resulting from the trauma of witnessed violence, with the help of a professional capable of supporting them and helping them take the first steps toward constructive processing of the experience they have suffered. The intervention is designed to provide support to the mother-child relationship in order to support both and help the child develop relational patterns different from the violent ones they have internalized.
